Re: Sinclair: Stunning new research shows that ordinary plant-derived fats activate the longevity gene SIRT1

A very interesting paper for sure. I will be certainly be looking for more opportunities to use olive oil in my diet. I would point out that the benefit was from monounsat fat and Dr Sinclairs tweet said nothing about plant-derived fats. If you include LARD on your list, it would be second behind o...

Re: Incredible New Mayo Clinic Study on Senolytics

Mayo Clinic is literally the top rated hospital in the US. Their web team might be a little overzealous with SEO, but the work done by drs and scientists there is top notch. I agree. I am amazed at the number of medical fields they lead in, in the US. Remarkable! Ranked 1st Diabetes and Endocrinolo...

Re: Frailty: a journey with my elderly mother

If you don't mind me asking NewLife... what is it in particular you are looking to improve, i.e. the frailty you wish to see improve? Well she has weakness in her knees and legs. mostly due to little use of them. Whenever we get on a program for her to take daily walks in her walker, something alwa...

Re: Will 2020 be the Year Anti-aging Science Goes Mainstream?

I think the drive to feel and look younger has always been mainstream.

I hope that the evidence based information around Sirtuin activators, NAD+ and NMN will definitely increase demand and interest considerably.

Frailty: a journey with my elderly mother

after a few false starts i think i have my mother convinced to try some supplements, including the AMPK Activator, Resveratrol, NMN, some NAD+, blueberry extract and green tea. at the moment she has a chronically sore knee and gets tired after walking about 150 feet. During the summer we have gone f...

Re: Dr Sinclairs four longevity strategies: 2. Time-restricted feeding

So what do I do? My blood sugar rises in the morning and I am not hungry, so I skip breakfast, except for two tablespoons of a homemade yogurt. I try to skip lunch or eat a late lunch of a small soup or salad. At dinner I eat a “normal” dinner, with a focus on plant-based foods and not overeating. ...

Is there a diet that benefits NMN dosing?

Like specific foods that work in synergy with NMN to either boost production or it's benefits?
Good question. I am following this discussion with interest.

Happy New Year! I think you are the precise age to start protecting your body from aging. I'm just jealous i couldn't do it 20 years ago! Some of what you are describing could be the fact that you are a dad with pressures. Other items may take some trial and error and experimentation, but i am sure ...
