Re: Protein restriction diets for stem cell–based regeneration

Hey Fred, So what kind of regimen should a beginner take? It is easy to get carried away with calorie restriction. I'd say it's really hard to get carried away with any sort of calorie restriction. Your appetite and other factors will work against you. This article was more focused on the health be...

Re: Inflammation, cancer and other diseases

it has long been my observation that inflammation is the enemy. if you suffer chronic inflammation in a part of your body, you are in an extremely elevated risk situation to develop cancer there. i guess i am asking some of our experts, what are the best weapons we can buy, here or otherwise to fig...

Re: The magic 500mg threshold :)

Another interesting point in the latest Dr Sinclair interview with Rhonda Patrick, he mentioned that there may be a minimum dose needed to overcome the liver's ability to metabolize nmn as it comes in. So if the liver can only metabolize 250mg (a guess) then anything above that will get sent out in...

I got up to 500mg per day (been about 4 months) and recently i am taking more than 625 spread throught the morning or afternoon.
I am wondering if anyone takes a full gram per day or more, and why they are doing this.

Re: NR and NR Chloride

Elysium used Niagen from the beginning. Now the source or form of NR in Elysium's Basis is unknown. True Niagen, Thorne and LEF use Niagen. So if i am taking NMN sl and NAD+ as well as Astaxanthin and Blueberry Concentrate, is NR really necessary? i think NR is another way of elevating NAD+ and the...

Re: Is NMN recommended for young people?

I am currently reducing my dosage to 375-500mg I’m NMN as I have not noticed a difference between that and 1g dose. At 30 years old I’m finding a small dose is all I need to feel A1 At your age you should not need a gram a day. Micro dosing at your age is an ideal way to maintain your NAD levels. H...

NMN and type 2 diabetes

Anyone here have or know someone who has Type 2 diabetes?

I am thinking of getting a friend to try NMN and NAD+ in concert with his doctor.

He also has damaged kidneys (due to taking ibuprofen for neuropathy) wouldn't it be something if he could reverse some of the damage.

Re: Does NMN prevent common sickness?

You know, I hadn't really thought about it. But after reading this and thinking back since first starting, I haven't had the slightest sickness or feeling of being ill throughout. Take that with a grain of salt, I also reduced sugar intake, less vegetable oils and increased natural foods/fruits. i ...

Re: Supplemental pyruvate increases NAD via NAMPT and activates SIRT1

Interesting! I was curious as to which foods contain pyruvate...I found this article that mentions apples and dark beer : aha so at least I'm half right! I think i read also that it is in green tea. I cannot drink much green tea for some reason - even 2 cups irritates my bladder. I wonder if we can...
