Re: Can NAD+ Supplements Cause or Exasperate Autoimmune Conditions?

Thanks for the responses. Why would NMN be better than NAD+ for preventing or avoiding an autoimmune flare? NMN causes NAD+ to be increased in our tissues and cells (If necessary i will let the better minds explain the precise how). NMN can be highly absorbed in our bodies to trigger this action. T...

Re: What is your monthly longevity and healthspan budget

Yes if we take intermittent fasting into account, where i miss roughly 20 meals per month, that is going to lower your costs.

$200 - $250 is a nice figure, I think.

Re: Fasting with moderate protein, 7 days

Yes that sounds like you did an extreme fast.

How are you feeling, now that you are back in calorie land.

I am confident you pulled off the rapamycin fast. Fred described it very well, and it sounds like you did it.

Way to go!

Re: Pterostilbene

To follow up, I did eventually start with resvertatrol (500mg micronized trans-resveratrol from Mega Resveratrol) in addition to the pterostilbene. Hate to say it, but after 3 tries, the resveratrol consistently gives me headaches and generally makes me feel off. Back to the pterostilbene solo for ...

Re: What is the current human trial status of Senolytics in general

Even though the body is “one big chemistry set” beakers can overflow so I think in most cases it is wise to “ Take the best and discard the rest” Supplements need to work in synergy and complement each other. I don't know how 1 gram is a significant threshold with bodies in the 50-80kg range. But f...

Fasting and Ellyptical

I used to have difficulty doing 30 minutes on the elliptical if i had skipped any meals. Now that i am trying fasting, along with NMN and a NAD+ nasal top u right before I start. it actually feels great, even on my full day fast. I am waiting for the LSD NAD+. I think one serving should be plenty. I...

Re: Paper questions senolytic use due to telomeres

Dasatinib is a chemotherapy drug, so I wouldn't be surprised if it caused some methylation on the epigenome, like smoking or x-rays. Fisetin however is a natural substance that is a senolytic shown to be extremely safe. All of these are still in human trials, so it's too soon to know for sure the p...

Re: Paper questions senolytic use due to telomeres

This guy is definitely going after senolytics. I think his article is disingenuine. Actually, there are 2 things. He is going after senolytics, and promoting Telomerase gene therapy, which is his baby. He cites studies that are general positive toward senolytics, then presents his criticism of them ...

Re: Paper questions senolytic use due to telomeres

I read an interview with a Dr. Michael Fossel about this topic. He is also the author of the cited work in the original post. I try to follow his arguments.. and he mentions citations - but (and I would like to see what Fred has to say) his agenda is obvious and i think he is muddying the waters. It...

Re: mask or no mask outside?

It's going to take a lot more than masks to get through this and reopen...

we all need a full set of wipeable and washable PPE.

It will cost a lot, but once everyone has them, things up a bit.
