Re: Roadmap to boosting cellular NAD+ with natural supplements: apigenin, quercetin, leucine etc (NAMPT, PARP1))

Any experimenters out there? Shouldn't be too difficult to make up some powder using Nuchido's ingredients. One serving: 10 mg ascorbic acid 250 mg nicotinamide 300 mg alpha lipoic acid 5 mg zinc 1.1 g Propietary Blend green tea leaf extract (~500) parsley leaf powder (~400) rutin extract (~150) bl...

Re: Resveratrol and Red Grapes

I don’t think taking grape for resveratrol is a good idea. Dr. Sinclair mentioned that grape is one of the food that spikes your blood glucose dramatically, which is bad for metabolic health, one should avoid having too much grape.

A Pilot Study Investigating Changes in the Human Plasma and Urine NAD+ during IV NAD

This study, documented changes in plasma and urine levels of NAD+ and its metabolites during and after a 6 h 3 μmol/min NAD+ intravenous (IV) infusion. Surprisingly, no change in plasma (NAD+) or metabolites [nicotinamide, methylnicotinamide, adenosine phosphoribose ribose (ADPR) and nicotinamide mo...

New NAD booster Better than NR: A Reduced Form of Nicotinamide Riboside Defines a New Path for NAD+ Biosynthesis

nicotinamide riboside (NR) has gained attention due to its potent NAD+ biosynthetic effects in vivo while lacking adverse clinical effects. Nevertheless, NR is not stable in circulation, and its utilization is rate-limited by the expression of nicotinamide riboside kinases (NRKs). Therefore, there i...

Re: NMN and PEMF( Pulsed Electromagnet Field Therapy)

However, I believe it is a consensus in academia that beneficial effects of alkaline water/diet are not supported by current scientific evidence. True. Thank you for pointing this out. The old theory of some health benefits of "alkaline" vs "acid" food groups have been thoroughly debunked many time...

Re: NMN and PEMF( Pulsed Electromagnet Field Therapy)

I'm not sure... PEMF seems to be a treatment for cancer or chronic pain, no significant side-effect though, I don't actually know how does it work.

However, I believe it is a consensus in academia that beneficial effects of alkaline water/diet are not supported by current scientific evidence.

Beside fasting, when do you eat also matters

We often assume nightshift workers eat more and excess food is the root cause of their bad health. A meta-analysis found no significant difference in total caloric intake between day- and night-shift workers. https://tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/07420528.2019.1666865 This research kinda consiste...

Re: Breakthrough on Rapamycin May Allow For All the Longevity Benefits Without Any of the Severe Side Effects

Very interesting! Earlier this year, there is a study shows that inhibition of mTORC2 will block the beneficial effect of autophagy (recycling old/useless proteins in cells, a pro-longevity process that downstream to AMPK and sirtuin), and even shorten the lifespan of the animal with a high level o...

Re: Consensus are you taking NMN, NAD+ and NR?

NMN and NR are both precursors for NAD+: theoretically they are doing the same thing but with different efficiency. So you don't need to take both at the same time.

But it is interesting to take half NR and half NMN, anyone also doing this?
