Re: Fruit, berry and vegetable smoothies

Fruits are good, but don't have too much. You certainly don't want to take too much fructose, they are really pro-obesity and bad to your metabolic health.

Re: Glycoproteins

I personally don't believe orally intake of any peptide-based supplements can have beneficial effects instead of providing aminoacid -- they will be digested anyway.

Re: Any advice for Parkinson's disease patients? my mom is 70, suffering from Parkinson's for 7 years

And NMN or NAD+ do not cause cancer, NAD+ depletion with age may play a major role in the process of cancer formation by limiting (1) energy production, (2) DNA repair, (3) genomic stability and signaling. Disruption of any of these processes could increase the cancer risk due to impaired genomic st...

Re: Any advice for Parkinson's disease patients? my mom is 70, suffering from Parkinson's for 7 years

She just started taking NMN for about 3 weeks, sublingual, 4 times a day. Not obvious but seemed the endurance is getting better, but still very weak, at muscle control and anxiety. Would NAD+ be added together for better improvement? Any protocal for Parkinsons? Thanks K Hi, NAD+ and its precursor...

Re: New paper explains the role of NAD+ in health and disease

Albert, Have you seen any research showing that any of the NAD or precursors have the ability to alter the lipid layer in cells? I am working on a patient that was bitten by a brown recluse and has systemic symptoms. We now know this is a protein that the spider has in the venom. This protein alter...

Re: Looking of the best timing for taking MNM+Resveratrol on intermittent fasting

I think the way you're doing it now is fine. I take resveratrol in the morning with a couple tablespoons of yogurt. I try to spread out my NMN throughout the day, 4 times @ 250mg per dose with nothing after 7pm as it keeps me awake. The sublingual tablets are good because you can carry them in a sm...

Re: Metformin

I agree with all the above! As a part of the science community, I would also suggest trying to sign up for Dr. Nir Barzilai's clinical trial for metformin if you can!

Re: NMN or NAD+ ?

I agree with NewLifeScience. I would definitely start with NAD precursors (NMN or NR). And you can try NAD+ to see if you need it or not.

low-carbohydrate and low-fat diets may reduce risk of premature death

New research from our Harvard Chan School shows following a low-carb or low-fat diet can have positive health impacts – but only if the carbohydrates and fats come from nutritious sources. This result kind of respond to the long-standing argument about which diet is better: high-fat low-carb diet (k...

New paper explains the role of NAD+ in health and disease

Check this review paper to understand how NAD and its precursors (NMN/NR) works! The conceptual evolution of nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (NAD+) from being seen as a simple metabolic cofactor to a pivotal cosubstrate for proteins regulating metabolism and longevity, including the sirtuin family...
