Re: Super aging mostly fraudulent? Time to re-evaluate "longevity diet"?

There was a book written awhile back called "The Telomere Effect", premise was that people had more control over aging than they think - check out this article that speaks about it: https://www.statnews.com/2017/01/03/aging-control-telomere-effect/ As far as I know, telomere is a dead-end for aging...

Re: Mayo Clinic Human Trial using Fisetin

I buy the PureBulk brand on Amazon, however it comes in a powder and doesn't taste very good (it's made from tree bark). I mix it with 8 o...

I get cramps and loose stools when I take Metformin. Wish I could take it but I can't.
Unfortunately, this is a reported possible side-effect

Re: What is a Fasting Mimicking Diet and How to Do It

Some people have success with a 5/2 diet. They eat their normal diet 5 days a week and fast 2 non-consecutive days a week. This disrupts the body from getting in the habit of packing on excess calories. Others do something similar in which they allow themselves to consume carbs 4-5 days per week an...

Re: Anyone is taking rapamycin or metformin?

Just reading Wikipedia about Rapamycin, or Sirolimus it looks downright dangerous. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sirolimus I am also curious how people manage to get metformin. Yes, it is dangerous, but it is also the most powerful. Bitto et al. show that treating mice with rapamycin for a short pe...
